Over the last 30 years, I have built up a wealth of experience both professionally and personally, which was ignited by experiences that go back to my childhood (travelling the world with my parents, meeting different people and being immersed in different cultures). Experiencing so much of the world from a very young age has really helped to give me a unique perspective, which continues to serve me well as an adult.
Throughout my professional endeavours and personal journeys, I have always shared what I have learned with family, friends and colleagues. More recently, and mainly as a result of my work relating to social justice, I have had the opportunity to share my story, with a wider audience, which led me to start thinking about how I can reach more people and have a much greater and more meaningful impact.
STYLISA began many years ago when I was working in the fashion industry as a stylist (the name being a fusion of the word stylist and my name, Lisa). When I decided to change direction and move into the world of social media marketing, I chose to hold onto the name as I always knew that I would revisit it one day. Fast forward to present day and I am resurrecting the brand and using it as a vehicle to share my experiences in the hope that it will be of use to others. I am still thinking of it as a styling brand but this time, it’s about helping people to style their lives in ways that enable them to thrive. However, as you will see, fashion will still play a role (I may not have loved being a stylist but I have always loved fashion).
I’ll be sharing my experiences, stories and journeys, both past and present (and some future too). There will also be resources that will help you to map out your journey along the way - a podcast, vlogs, ebooks, courses. Another important factor will be fun - everything will be marinated with a sense of humour. All of the content created and shared will be designed not only with your growth in mind, but with a sense of humour too. Life without laughter is not an option, especially when times get tough.
My hope is that you will find something here that not only inspires you but serves as a reminder to always live you life in glorious technicolour. Having been fortunate enough to have seen so much of it, I can assure you that the world is an exciting place and what’s event more exciting, is that it all starts with you. If you are willing to take a walk through life with your eyes and mind open, I can promise you that you will not be disappointed.
